Analysing UPPCSJ 2018 Prelim exam: The exam held on 16th December, 2018 in over 141 centres across Uttar Pradesh for Civil Judge Junior DIvision position on 610 positions. Over 64,000+ registered for the examinations but on exam day only 59% stood up. The day witness over 38,164 aspirants who gave exam. The exam was held in two shifts for General Knowledge & Law exam in separate shifts respectively.
Supreme Court of India has earlier directed to complete the recruitment process by May, 2019. The Commission is prepared to complete the process within this this time period. The result of UP PCSJ Prelim Round is expected to be announced within a Month and date for Mains examination will be announced with results. Before May 2019, the mains exam & interviews for final confirmation of appointments will be completed as per UPPSC.
This year question paper included a maximum portion of current affairs, history & general knowledge. The question paper included latest question from November, 2018 highlights as ‘What is the name of lady Chief Guest at Ayodhya Deepotsav held in November, 2018?’, ‘Where is Hockey World Cup 2018 being held?’, ‘Who won Women Singles’s title in US Opens Tennis Tournament, 2018?’, question about #Metoo campaign etc.
The question paper included a good portion to latest supreme court judgments on Section 377, Aadhar, Triple Talaq, Sabrimala, Adultery etc.
Time: Both Papers were held in separate shift of 2 Hours each.
Marks: The Mark distribution among paper was as follows:
- Paper 1: General Knowledge: 150 Questions (150 Marks)
- Paper 2: Law: 150 Questions (300 Marks)
Total Marks: 450
Negative Marking: For each questions for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
No doubts, The question paper seems hard for those student who focused more on Law Books and Private Coaching for Law Contents.
Result: It is expected to be announced within a Month.
