With many of us locked inside for the past two years, we’ve done plenty of cooking, afternoon naps, and, obviously, Netflix binge surfing.

So, while it’s acceptable in society to spend the entire day hooked to the television, we’ve compiled a collection of the best Law Netflix shows we’ve watched. All of these shows are currently available on Netflix.

1. Suits

Suits is a law and legal drama set in the United States. It portrays Mike Ross, who, despite never having attended law school, begins working as a legal associate for Harvey Specter at a New York City law firm. Mike and Harvey close cases during the first few episodes while trying to keep Mike’s big secret hidden.

Suits have nine seasons, so there’s plenty of legal material to chew on. Suits is also a great show to watch if you want to see Meghan Markle before she became a royal.

2. How To Get Away With Murder!

How to Get Away with Murder is a television series about Annalise Keating, a law instructor at a top university who becomes entangled in a murder conspiracy with five of her students. While the show is mostly a thriller, some of what is presented on the episode, notably in Ms. Keating’s classes, will ring true even for law school students in the United Kingdom.

One thing to keep in mind regarding these students is that, despite being involved in a lot of drama, they don’t do much work. 

3. Seven Seconds

When a policeman strikes a young black man and collaborates with his colleagues to hide the crime, the neighborhood in which they reside is rocked by racial conflict, police violence, and a relentless hunt for the truth. The actors in this series are likable, real people who will draw you into their battle for justice.

4. Unbelievable

Unbelievable is a worthy-watching Netflix sub-series that dramatizes the 2008-2011 serial rape cases in Washington and Colorado. The story is based on T. Christian Miller and Ken Armstrong’s Pulitzer Prize-winning piece “An Unbelievable Story of Rape.” It all starts with Marie, a teen accused of lying about being raped, and two investigators from two different jurisdictions collaborating to unravel the mystery.

Not only does this series contain some criminal legislation, but it also shows the difficulties that victims of sexual crime have in obtaining justice. I’ll be astonished if you don’t watch this in one sitting.

5. When They See Us!

When They See Us is a series that premiered in 2019. It is based on the Central Park Jogger case, which is one of the most well-known miscarriages of justice cases in the world. The Central Park Five may be familiar to you (later renamed the Exonerated Five). The five male defendants who were wrongly accused and convicted for the attack of a lady in Central Park are profiled in this series.

The access to a lawyer/counsel, the right to a fair trial, and confessional evidence are all topics covered in this series. If you’re only going to watch one of our suggestions, make it this one.

6. Making A Murder

Making a Murderer tells the story of Steven Avery, who was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault and attempted murder of Penny Beerntsen and spent 18 years in jail. In 2007, he was found guilty of the murder of Teresa Halbach for the second time. The case of Brendan Dassey, who was charged with and convicted of being a participant in the murder, is linked.

This film contains a wealth of information. It focuses on Avery’s original charges, conviction, vindication, and release for the first charge. Avery’s civil action against Manitowoc County, alleging that he was wrongfully convicted. His eventual arrest, prosecution, and sentencing for the assassination of Teresa Halbach, and Avery’s nephew, Brendan Dassey’s detain, trial, and conviction, centered on claims of coercion and counsel ineptitude.
