The International Journal of Law Management & Humanities invites Research papers, Articles, Short Notes, Book Reviews, Case Commentaries and other such for its Second Volume of the year 2018 (Volume II, Year 2018), set to be published in July 2018.

Academicians, Practitioners, researchers, students, and others interested in the field of LAW, MANAGEMENT & HUMANITIES may send original, unpublished papers to editor.ijlmh@gmail.com latest by 20th July 2018.

Theme

Volume II, Year 2018 is being operated without any theme. Anything related to Law, Mangement or Humanities is acceptable.

Submission Guidelines
  1. The submissions may be made under the following categories; the word limit is exclusive of footnotes:
  • Research paper: 3000 words and above
  • Article: 1500-3000 words
  • Book reviews: 1500-2000 words
  • Short Note & Case Comment: 1000 – 2000 words
  1. The submission must not be previously published or currently under review at any other journal/conference/book etc. and should not be submitted to any other journal/conference while in process of review with us.
  2. The submission must be the original work of the authors i.e. shouldn’t be plagiarized and also should be free from grammatical, spelling and other errors. It must also not contain any defamatory words.
  3. Submission must be accompanied by an abstract of not more than 300 words and author(s) affiliation.
  4. All footnotes/references in the submission must conform to the bluebook 19th Edition.
  5. Co-authorship is permitted to a maximum of 2 authors.
  6. Copyright over the published material shall vest with “International Journal of Law Management & Humanities
  7. A separate cover letter mentioning the name(s) of the author(s), E-mail id, Mobile number, the title of the manuscript and the name of Institution, shall be sent along with the submission.
  8. All submissions must be made in .doc format. No pdf format shall be entertained.
  9. There should be no mention of authors name or any other identity in the original manuscript.

The DIPP Chair on IPR, National Law University, Jodhpur, is organizing a conference on Issues in Copyright and Technology on 8th – 9th April, 2017.

The rapid evolution of new technologies has raised serious questions on the utility and application of copyright laws.

Many argue that copyright hinders development by limiting access to several important works and creations in the technological era.

Others maintain that with the growth of internet-aided infringement, copyright regimes need to become even stricter to protect rights-holders and the incentive to create.

Aim
The conference aims to generate discussion on the interface between copyright and technology.

Call for Papers
The organizers invite students, research scholars, faculty members and other professionals to submit papers on these issues.

Authors of selected submissions will be invited to present their papers at National Law University, Jodhpur, during the conference from 8th – 9th April, 2017.

All participants will be given a certificate.

Issue of call for papers: 22nd January, 2017

Last date of full paper submission: 28th February, 2017

Release of list of participants selected for the conference: 10th March, 2017

Conference dates: 8th – 9th April, 2017

Submission Guidelines
The submissions must relate to issues involving copyright and technology.

The submissions must be original. Plagiarism of any sort will result in immediate disqualification.

The word limit per submission is 10,000 words (including footnotes). Submissions beyond this limit will only be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Each submission must be accompanied by an abstract of less than 300 words.

The submission should not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Only one submission per author is allowed.

Co-authorship of up to two authors is allowed.

The submission must not bear any identification sign of the author(s).

Submission Procedure
Submissions must be sent before February 28, 2017, 11:59 P.M. to nluj.ipchair@gmail.com with the subject “Conference Submission – (Title of Paper).”

The submission email must specify the name(s) of the author(s), phone number and affiliation.

Deadline
28th February, 2017

Registration Fee
Participants who have been selected for presenting their papers will have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 2,000/- per person.

This fee will cover participation in the conference, shared accommodation for the conference dates 7th – 9th April, 2017, lunch for the conference dates and a conference dinner.

The fee for participants who do not want to avail of accommodation will be Rs. 1,200/-.

The organizers will do their utmost to assist such participants in finding alternate accommodation.

The Journal of Legal Studies (JLS) is National Law University, Delhi’s flagship journal.

It is an annual student edited, peer-reviewed law journal, which seeks to provide a forum for engaging in discussions on varied issues of contemporary importance in domestic and international law and policy.

Aim

The aim of the journal is to provide a platform for discussion of matters relating to crucial developments in the legal field.

The Editorial Board is pleased to invite scholarly submissions from students, academicians, practitioners and researchers for the inaugural issue of the journal.

1. The Journal of Legal Studies invites submissions under the following categories-

 Articles: 5,000 to 10,000 words, inclusive of footnotes.

 Essays: 3,000 to 5,000 words, inclusive of footnotes.

 Case Notes and Legislative Comments: 2,000 to 3,000 words, inclusive of footnotes.

 Book Reviews: 2,000 to 3,000 words, inclusive of footnotes.

2. It is advisable to choose a theme that is of contemporary relevance and has an issue of law to be engaged with analytically. Papers dealing with foreign themes, in any of the above categories, should also engage with its relevance in the Indian context.

3. Co-authorship is permitted up to a maximum of two authors.

4. All submissions must have 1.5 line spacing in Times New Roman format, with font size 12.

5. Submissions must conform to the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA), 4th Edition.

6. The submission must be an original unpublished work. Submissions should not be simultaneously considered by any other publication.

7. Upon submission, the manuscript shall be the property of National Law University, Delhi. Permission for any subsequent publication/reprint/derivative work/submission must be obtained from the Editorial Board of the JLS. The University reserves the right to reproduce, publish and distribute any paper submitted for publication in all media, including but not limited to electronic and print media.

8. Submissions are accepted for publication on the condition that they do not infringe upon the rights of any third party. All submissions will be run through anti-plagiarism software and plagiarism in any form will result in instant rejection of the submission.

9. After review, manuscripts may be returned to authors suggesting changes to content, style or structure. Acceptance of the piece for publication may be made contingent upon incorporating the suggestions.

We generally encourage submissions with a developing country perspective or a comparative approach that benefits the developing world.

Word Limit & Footnotes

A submission may fall within any of the following categories:

 Articles (3,000-5,000 words)

 Short Articles (2,500 words); and

 Essays (2,000 words)

The above limits are exclusive of footnotes. We are also open to discussing potential submissions that are substantially longer or shorter.

Any footnoting style may be adopted as long as it is internally consistent.

Please get in touch with us for further information and to discuss any such proposals you may have.

However, please note that we do not accept unsolicited book reviews.

Publication Fee

There is no publication fee for publication.

Deadlines

1. The last date of paper submissions is 15th February, 2017.

2. A confirmation mail will be sent by 29th February, 2017 to the authors whose work has been shortlisted for publication.

3. The printed copy of the journal will be dispatched to the authors whose article has been published by 15th March, 2017.

4. The Author will receive a printed copy of journal and certificate duly signed by Editor-in-Chief and Executive Editor (2 copies of journal and 2 certificates in case of co-authored paper).
