Sidley is representing the BlueCo consortium, backed by Clearlake Capital Group and Todd Boehly, in its agreement to become majority shareholders of the French football club Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace. The ownership consortium commits to accelerate sustainable investment in the club’s growth. This consortium also purchased Chelsea FC in May 2022.
The Sidley team is being led by Mehdi Khodadad, Mark Castiglia, and Thomas Guzman (Private Equity), and includes Adam Runcorn (Private Equity); Chuck Baker (Entertainment, Sports and Media); Jason Menzies (Tax); Ken Daly and Toni Pitesa (Antitrust/Competition); James Crooks and Nils Gravenhorst (Global Finance); and Peter McCorkell and Alex Down (Labor and Employment).
