NEW YORK – Sidley Austin LLP is pleased to announce that David D’Urso and Elazar Guttman have joined Sidley’s M&A and Private Equity practice in New York. They join Sidley from Akin Gump where Mr. D’Urso was head of the U.S. PE M&A practice.
Mr. D’Urso has more than 27 years of experience advising clients on complex private equity transactions both domestically and cross-border. His practice focuses on structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, with a particular focus on the private equity industry. He has represented a wide range of clients, including private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, financial institutions, and family offices, and has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results for them.
Mr. Guttman has successfully advised private investors, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies, family offices, and entrepreneurs/founders on a wide variety of domestic and cross-border leveraged buyouts and other complex business transactions. These include acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity financings, growth capital investments, joint ventures, and in- and out-of-court restructurings.
