Sidley Austin LLP is pleased to announce that Cindy Lovering has joined as a partner in the firm’s California Global Finance practice, with a focus on representing lenders in fund finance and venture finance transactions. She joins Sidley from Cooley LLP.
Ms. Lovering has built a successful track record with extensive knowledge in global finance by leveraging her banking and financial center networks, in turn expanding Sidley’s fund and debt finance footprint into the venture capital space and further establishing the firm’s destination practice in Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice.
“We are thrilled to have Cindy join the firm as a Global Finance Partner. Her exceptional skills, and industry knowledge in fund finance transactions, including syndicated and bilateral subscription credit facilities, hybrid and net asset value credit facilities, and management company credit facilities will be fully utilized,” said Sharon Flanagan, a member of the firm’s Management and Executive Committees and managing partner of Sidley’s San Francisco office. “Cindy’s extensive network will leverage our capabilities in providing legal solutions to clients on a global level.”
“We are excited to work closely with Cindy to continue delivering innovative results to our clients in an ever-evolving financial landscape,” said Martin Wellington, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and leader of the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice. “Several of our partners have worked extensively with Cindy over the years and they are excited to collaborate with her again to expand on the thriving practice we are building.”
