Overview:
Electronics & IT is the largest and the fastest growing industries in the world and Government of India also listed these as two main pillars for Digital India initiative, a programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The Indian Information Technology – Information Technology-Enabled Services (IT-ITES) industry has continued to perform its role as the most consistent growth driver for the National Economy.
There is a need to these sectors to transform their ideas, innovation and the assets into financial tools to increase the commercial value of the company and to expand its business across the Globe. Intellectual Property System is being seen as valuable strategic, financial asset, and is playing the vital role in business success of any organization. But, most of the Electronics and ICT industries are still not aware of Intellectual Property System or the protection it can provide for their innovations.
Especially the existing Electronics and ICT companies along with upcoming industries in the newly formed and progressive state like Andhra Pradesh would need information, facilities and capacities to protect their respective Innovations / Technology assets. It is also advisable that industry should regularly use and create a great deal of IP, maximize the benefits by stimulating higher levels of innovation, and leveraging strategic alliances for enhancing the value of the Intellectual Property created in the State.
With this background, Andhra Pradesh Technology Development & Promotion Centre of Confederation of Indian Industry in association with Department of Electronics and Information Technology , is organizing a ‘Sensitization Seminar on IPR for Electronics & ICT Sectors’ with the theme ‘Role of IP as a Strategic and Financial tool in the Global Market’ .
Objectives:
The overall objective of the Seminar is to create awareness, capacity building and improve factual understanding on implications of IP for the Electronics & ICT Industry.
Sensitize the industries about the Intellectual Property Rights and its importance to the Electronics & ICT Sectors.
