Supreme Court directed temples in Mathura and Vrindavan, to give all flowers offered to the temples to the shelter homes run for widows and destitute women by the UP government so that it can be used to make perfume/incense etc and provide livelihood for these women.

Home to almost 10,000 temples producing 10 to 15 quintals of floral waste everyday, will soon be recycling this bio degradable refuse into exotic itra (traditional natural perfume), incense sticks and even scented havan ingredients.

This direction of Supreme court will give a new hope of livelihood for these women who had to spend their lives staying in shelter homes.
