About the workshop:

Advocacy Skills and Professional Ethics is the most precious qualification for a lawyer to shine with head high and withal tocommand the required courage to function in courts where apart from skill and erudition, it is only the high values treasured and nurtured by counsel that marks him out as lawyer and man in a crowd of competing and jealous men of the legal profession. Judges and clients always respect such an advocate. Ethics of a profession is not matter that can be imbibed easily from a mere reading of a treatise on it. It is essentially absorbed only when he cherishes such ideals from the very pulsation of his heart, or having in his mind the glorious examples of illustrious men at the Bar past and present.

OBJECTIVES AND SCOPE

 The present workshop aims to address the fundamental as well as contemporary issues of substantive and procedural law.

 Court setup and investigative machinery and the lawyer’s responsibility in connection with them.

 Role of a lawyer in litigation, with special focus on Public Interest Litigation/ Lawyering.

 Case management and litigation strategy.

 Operational aspects in building a criminal practice: Billing, ethics, business development.

 Enhancement of knowledge, skills and learning from Industry top executives having decades of working experience.

GUIDELINES

1. The presenters need to submit an abstract not exceeding 300 words.

2. All the contributions should be the original work of the presenters. Any copied or plagiarized content will not be accepted for presentation.

3. All the submissions must be e-mailed latest by 25th October 2018 at Workshop.jemtec@gmail.com

4. Joint presentation is permitted. Each additional presenter in the team has to submit Rs. 300.

5. The presenters need to fill in the google form for which the link is attached below:

6. The presenters have to necessarily carry the power point presentation in a pen drive and also have to mail the same presentation at the given mail ID.

7. The fees for the workshop should be submitted by way of NEFT or Demand Draft (In exceptional cases, on the spot registration through Cash payment is permissible)

8. All the participants have to send duly filled registration form for registering themselves for the workshop at Workshop.jemtec@gmail.com
