Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Polski Fundusz Rozwoju (PFR) on securing PLN 82.5 million in long-term financing to fund and refinance the construction costs of PV plants, sponsored by Projekt Solartechnik.
The loan will support the construction of PV plants located in 12 voivodships in Poland, with more than half already in the construction phase and have a total capacity of approximately 40 MWp.
Polski Fundusz Rozwoju is a state-controlled group of financial and advisory institutions that invest in the sustainable social and economic development of the country.
Projekt Solartechnik is a leading international company specializing in the development and construction of large-scale PV plants, wind farms, and sale of green energy.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team advising on the financing aspects of the transaction was led by counsel Krzysztof Gorzelak, who was supported by associate Daniel Książek, as well as lawyers Wiktoria Jadczak, Dominika Wojtkowska, Natalia Rybak, Antoni Krzyżanowski and Mikołaj Rydzewski. The due diligence workstream was led by senior associate Cezary Zawiślak and lawyers Bartosz Odziemkowski and Mikołaj Wołczyński. The entire Norton Rose Fulbright team worked under the supervision of energy and project finance partner Tomasz Rogalski.
The PFR team comprised Dariusz SamoIej, Paweł Altewęgier, Piotr Frączek, Maja Gawrysiuk, Klaudia Kania, Jakub Matusiak and Tomasz Piecha.
This transaction marks the second time Projekt Solartechnik has secured financing from PFR with the support from Norton Rose Fulbright. In June 2023, Norton Rose Fulbright advised PFR on a loan agreement of PLN 128 million to finance and refinance the construction of 26 PV plants with a total capacity of 43.09 MWp.
