The Annual forensics flagship event of Legal Desire i.e, National Forensics & Criminal Investigation Summit and Awards (NFCI 2023), which took place on 21st Jan’23 at Vivekanand Global University, Jaipur was a resounding success, bringing together experts from across the forensic science community to share knowledge, best practices, and the latest research in the field. The event was attended by forensics, medical and legal professionals across India and featured keynote speakers, panel session, and awards.
The summit was designed to provide a platform for forensic scientists, crime lab directors, law enforcement professionals, and other stakeholders to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field of forensic science. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, network with colleagues, and gain a deeper understanding of the critical role that forensic science plays in solving crimes and protecting the public.
The summit also featured the presentation of the National Forensic Science Awards, which recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the field of forensic science. The winners were felicitated during the event and received recognition for their achievements in areas such as forensic research, laboratory management, research, academics, and law enforcement.
The Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 was presented to Dr. Asha Srivastava who is currently the Director of Central Forensics Science Lab, Central Bureau of Investigation. Department of Forensic Science at Vivekanand Global University was awarded for its role in academic excellence.
