MZM Legal Appoints Mohammad Shine As Partner

Mumbai, March 15, 2021:

India’s leading White-Collar Crime and Dispute Resolution firm MZM Legal LLP, has appointed Mr. Mohammad Shine as Partner – Criminal Litigation Practice. A Mumbai University Law Graduate Mohammad Shine holds a Bachelors of Law Degree, MBA and a Diploma in Cyber laws. Prior to joining MZM, Shine acted as an Of-Counsel with the firm. 

With his core specialization being Criminal Litigation, Shine has, over the years, meticulously handled complex criminal matters/trials with focus on White-Collar Crimes, including matters of large banking & financial frauds, securities fraud, money laundering, corruption, and disproportionate assets. 

Shine began his career in 2005 from the Chamber of renowned Criminal Defence lawyer Mr. Majeed Memon, who is also an Ex-member of the Parliament, where he actively assisted Mr. Memon in convoluted criminal matters and gained experience in conducting rigorous criminal trials and matters pertaining to Bail, Anticipatory Bail and Writ Petitions. 

Shine took up “Independent Practice” from 2013 and since then he has been effectively conducting criminal rials under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and the offences under the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and has been successfully representing various corporates and HNI Clients. Shine regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, Trail Courts (Sessions and Magistrate Courts) and different Tribunal constituted under special statutes.

On this appointment, MZM’s Managing Partner, Zulfiquar Memon commented: “We welcome Shine to the MZM family.  Shine’s addition will add great value to our Criminal Litigation Practice.
