A multi-jurisdictional Mayer Brown team has advised global investment firm Marlin Equity Partners (“Marlin”) on its majority growth investment in Napier Technologies Limited (“Napier AI”), a London-based compliance technology firm supplying anti-money laundering software to a global customer base.

Napier AI offers a distinctive solution in the RegTech market and is trusted by leading banks, payment providers, wealth and asset management firms, insurers, and telecommunications organisations.

Financially regulated businesses face significant reputational and financial risks, compounded by the evolving tactics of financial criminals leveraging new technologies. The Napier AI Continuum platform stands out by delivering compliance-first AI that not only ensures robust regulatory adherence but also provides the flexibility to adapt seamlessly to each customer’s unique technology and compliance requirements.

Mayer Brown also advised Marlin in Q4 2024 on its majority growth investment in Radar Healthcare, a provider of risk, quality and compliance software for the healthcare and social care sectors.

The team was led by Private Equity partners Electra Callan and James West and included partner Jessica Kolhorn and associates Damini Kotecha and Priyanka Patel, Antitrust & Competition partner Daniel Vowden and senior associate Kathryn Lloyd, Pensions partner Andrew Block, Employment & Benefit partner Chris Fisher, consultant Andrew Stanger, counsel James Perrott, senior associates Mark Rose and Liam Kellett and associate Ruth Kellard, IP partner Mark Prinsley and senior associate Ondrej Hajda, Real Estate partner Iain Roberts, International Trade and Sanctions partner Jason Hungerford and associate Kirsty Morris, Tax partners James Hill and Ben Eaton, senior associate Kathryn Buddington and associate Jack Feehan (all London), Corporate & Securities partners Justin Tan (Singapore) and Jad Taha (Dubai), counsel George Rudy (New York) and associates Anzhen Chng, Yee Shin Koh (both Singapore) and Kiersten Daly (New York).
