Linklaters has advised BlackRock Global Renewable Power Fund (« GRP III Fund ») on its investment in Windvision’s European activities. Based in Amsterdam, Windvision is an independent renewable energy developer, operating in eight countries across two continents.

This investment will help support Windvision’s portfolio of development, construction and operational assets that will be built-out across Belgium, France and Spain. The pipeline consists of about 1 GW of greenfield projects in different development stages, and a 19 MW operational project in Gesves-Ohey, Belgium. It is also an important milestone in GRP III’s commitment to the international wind market, and to the European market in particular. The GRP III Fund is looking to invest in the full spectrum of climate infrastructure assets, focusing on renewable power generation, and energy storage and distribution.

The Linklaters Paris team was led by François April, partner (Energy & Infrastructure) and included Pierre Guillot, partner, Pierre Sikorav, managing associate, Sandra Hoballah Campus and Etienne Paletto, associates, in Energy & Infrastructures ; Thomas Pontacq and Benoît Allouis, managing associates, Aude Pianet, associate, in Corporate ; Géric Clomes, counsel, and Cécile Boulet, associate, in Employment Law ; Saadoun Alioua, Real Estate associate ; Sonia Cissé, counsel, and Simon Corbineau-Picci, managing associate, in TMT.

Linklaters teams from London, Brussels, Madrid, Amsterdam, and in Luxembourg were also involved.
