Linklaters acted as sole international counsel, representing the book running lead managers on the initial public offering (IPO) of Premier Energies Limited, India’s second largest fully integrated solar cell and module manufacturer. The shares marked a notable debut on the Indian stock exchanges, the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE.

The INR 2,830.40 crore IPO saw substantial interest from investors, both domestically and internationally, reflecting the confidence in Premier Energies’ robust business model and growth potential.

The Linklaters team was led by Partner and Head of India Practice Amit Singh, with support from counsel Joseph Wolpin and managing associate Daryl Bryan Chee.

Linklaters’ Partner and Head of India Practice Amit Singh commented:

“We are proud to have played our part in the landmark IPO of Premier Energies Limited. The company’s remarkable debut demonstrates the strong market demand for investments in the rapidly growing renewable sector. The team’s technical legal expertise, local market knowledge, and commercial understanding of the Indian landscape were vital in ensuring the success of this transaction. Congratulations to all parties involved in this successful offering!”

Linklaters has a well-established Indian capital markets practice, known for offering a strong combination of technical expertise and commercial awareness to provide innovative solutions to clients. With one of the largest teams focused on the India market, the firm has worked on many significant equity offerings across diverse sectors, including the recent IPO by Brainbees Solutions Limited, as well as Ola Electric Mobility’s IPO, one of the largest IPOs in India this year.
