Linklaters advises Amundi Energies Vertes, an investment vehicle dedicated to green infrastructures and managed by Amundi Private Equity Funds, on its contemplated strategic partnership with Sonnedix, a key player within the European renewables market with an asset base that exceeds 900 MW.
This partnership, an important step in the development of Amundi Energies Vertes, includes the initial acquisition from Sonnedix of an interest in an existing solar assets portfolio consisting of over a hundred PV plants located in Europe as well as the opportunity for Amundi Energies Vertes to invest, through a dedicated joint-venture between Amundi and Sonnedix, in other projects developed or acquired by Sonnedix.
The initial transaction is expected to close in December 2020, subject to the obtaining of the required authorizations.
Amundi Energies Vertes benefits from the technical expertise of Amundi Transition Energétique, an asset management company owned by Amundi and EDF and dedicated to the energy transition.
Amundi Energies Vertes is advised by a cross-jurisdictional team from Linklaters, comprised of the Paris, London, Amsterdam, Madrid and Milan offices, and led by Bruno Derieux (Partner) and Nicolas Le Guillou (Counsel) in Corporate/M&A, with Vianney Guillet de Chatellus, Jacques Mazé and Athanase de Guitaut (Associates).
