Latham & Watkins Advises Triton on Its Acquisition of Trench

Latham & Watkins LLP has advised Triton on its acquisition of Siemens Energy’s high-voltage component business, Trench. Terms and conditions of the transaction have not been disclosed. The closing of the carve-out transaction, which is subject to regulatory approvals, Trench’s necessary consultations, and other customary closing conditions, is expected during the first half of 2024.

The Latham team was led by Munich partner Rainer Traugott. Advice was also provided on corporate matters by Munich partner Stephan Hufnagel, with Frankfurt counsel Christina Mann, Munich associates Jeremias Bura, Manuel Schmutzler, and Julia Schöfer, and Dusseldorf associates Jakob Baldes, Jaschar Mirkhani, and Nikolaus Becker; on financing matters by Frankfurt partner Alexandra Hagelüken, with associate Martina Eisgruber; on tax matters by Munich partners Ulf Kieker and Stefan Süß, with associate Johannes Lieb; on corporate/IP matters by Frankfurt partner Susan Kempe-Müller, with associate Daniela Jaeger; on regulatory matters by Frankfurt counsel Thies Deike and Joachim Grittmann; on antitrust matters by Frankfurt partner Max Hauser, with Brussels counsel Philipp Studt and Frankfurt associate Nicolas Jung; on employment matters by Munich partner Tobias Leder, with associates Christian Strauß and Martina Hölzer; and on real estate matters by Munich associates Katharina Wolf and Henriette Hosemann.

The German team led by partner Rainer Traugott was additionally supported from Latham’s Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Milan, Paris, and Washington, D.C. offices.
