Latham & Watkins Advises OpticalTel in Investment by Antin Infrastructure Partners

Antin Infrastructure Partners (Antin) and OpticalTel have jointly announced that Antin has acquired a majority interest in OpticalTel, a leading fiber broadband provider in Florida.

Founded in 2004 by Mario Bustamante, OpticalTel is a fast-growing provider of essential high-speed internet and telecommunication services, with a focus on residential customers located in homeowners and condo-owners associations. Antin’s investment will support OpticalTel’s next chapter of growth as it deepens its customer relationships in existing markets and further expands its geographic footprint throughout the region, while continuing to deliver exceptional service to its valued customers. Mr. Bustamante will retain an ownership stake in OpticalTel and remain on the board of directors. Luis Rodriguez, CEO and President, will continue to lead the company with the support of its long-tenured management team.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents OpticalTel in the transaction with a corporate team led by Houston/New York partner Ravi Purohit and New York partner James Gorton, with New York associates Ben Howard, Aubrey Steiger, Sofia Skara, and Houston associate Kara Chung. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partner Bryant Lee, with Houston associate Christine Mainguy; on antitrust matters by Washington, D.C. partner Farrell Malone and Washington, D.C. counsel Peter Todaro; on regulatory matters by Washington, D.C. partner James Barker and Washington, D.C. counsel Elizabeth Park; on real estate matters by San Diego partner James Mann, with San Diego associate Julie Voorhes; on intellectual property matters by New York partner Steven Betensky, with New York associate Zachary Shufro; on data privacy matters by Houston counsel Robert Brown; on benefits matters by New York partner Jennifer Pepin, with Boston associate Sophie Duffy and New York associate Alisa Hand; on labor matters by Chicago partner Nineveh Alkhas; and on environmental matters by Los Angeles counsel Joshua Marnitz, with Washington, D.C. associate Andrew Landolfi.
