Global investment firm Carlyle has announced that it has agreed to sell Forgital Group, a provider of advanced aerospace and industrial forged products, to Stonepeak. Forgital is a leading integrated European manufacturer specializing in the forging, laminating, and machining of rolled rings, serving a diverse range of end markets, including aerospace, defense, space, power generation, and oil and gas.
The closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
Latham & Watkins has advised Carlyle on the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Milan partner Stefano Sciolla, with associates Giulio Palazzo, Lorenzo Pistoresi, and Milena Raffaldi. Advice was also provided on finance matters by Milan partners Marcello Bragliani and Alessia De Coppi, with counsel Erika Brini Raimondi and associates Chiara Coppotelli and Alessandro Bertolazzi; and on regulatory matters by Milan partner Cesare Milani, with associates Edoardo Cassinelli and Irene Terenghi. In France, the corporate deal team was led by partner Alexander Benedetti, with associates Aymerick Fradin and Rim Benzakour.
