Latham & Watkins Advises Boom Supersonic in US$300 Million Funding Round

Boom Supersonic, the company building the world’s fastest airliner and a 42-megawatt natural gas turbine that delivers reliable energy to AI data centers, has announced a US$300 million funding round led by Darsana Capital Partners, with participation from Altimeter Capital, ARK Invest, Bessemer Venture Partners, Robinhood Ventures, and Y Combinator.

Latham & Watkins LLP represented Boom Supersonic in the transaction with a corporate deal team led by Bay Area partner Saad Khanani, with associates Chris Pham and Rasha Suleiman, and assistance from Kaesha Freyaldenhoven. Advice was also provided on antitrust matters by Washington, D.C. partner Patrick English, with associate Ben Bouwman.
