Latham & Watkins Advises Black Forest Labs in US$300 Million Series B

Black Forest Labs, a leading frontier AI research lab building the most advanced technology that shapes the visual understanding of the world, has announced it has raised US$300 million in a Series B funding round at a US$3.25 billion post-money valuation. The funding round involved existing partners, including a16z, NVIDIA, Northzone, Creandum, Earlybird VC, BroadLight Capital, and General Catalyst, as well as investments from Salesforce Ventures and Anjney Midha (AMP), as co-leads, alongside Temasek, Bain Capital Ventures, Air Street Capital, Visionaries Club, Canva, and Figma Ventures.

Latham & Watkins LLP represents Black Forest Labs in the transaction with an Emerging Companies & Growth team led by Bay Area partner Benjamin Potter and Orange County/Bay Area partner Nima Movahedi, with associates Justin Tzeng* and Tori Hu, and assistance from Kaesha Freyaldenhoven.
