Cross-border team represents a leading global private equity firm on two global energy transactions.

Latham & Watkins has advised TA Associates (TA), a leading global private equity firm, on a strategic growth investment in Facts Global Energy (FGE), a global provider of market intelligence, data, research, and analysis for the energy market. The partnership will support the continued expansion of FGE’s team, technology platform, and state-of-the-art service offerings, while aiming to accelerate both organic and acquisition-driven growth.

In conjunction with TA’s investment, FGE has also announced the transformational merger with NexantECA, a global energy and chemicals research and advisory business, on which Latham also advised. This strategic combination brings together two industry leaders with proven track records of customer success in the energy sector. The transaction marks a significant milestone in the growth of the FGE platform and the NexantECA research and advisory business, and will strengthen the Company’s green energy and green chemicals offerings.

The Latham team was led by London corporate partner Paul Dolman, with associates Edward Coates, Zeynep Kocabas, and Catherine Fellows. Additional advice on tax matters was provided by London partner Helen Lethaby and counsel Amy Watkins, with associate Richard Liu; on employment matters by London partner Sarah Gadd, with associate Joseph Goddard; on compliance matters by Washington, D.C. partner Brian Kowalski and London partner Clare Nida, with associate Anna James; on sanctions matters by Washington, D.C. counsel Andrew Galdes, with associates Thomas Lane and Matthew Gregory; on antitrust matters by London partner Greg Bonné, with associate Nootan Vegad; and on US corporate matters by associates Laki Triantafylidis and Maddy Berg.
