Origis Energy, one of America’s leading renewable energy platforms, has announced financial close of an approximately US$545 million senior secured project financing with Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking and Santander Corporate & Investment Banking for three utility-scale solar projects totaling around 413 MW of installed capacity in Ector County, Texas. All three projects are currently under construction and are expected to reach commercial operations in summer 2026. The financing represents the next phase of Origis Energy’s multi-project solar complex in West Texas, which will total over 700 MW upon completion. The complex also includes the Swift Air Solar II and Swift Air Solar III projects, which reached financial close in 2025.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Origis Energy in the transactions with a Project Development & Finance team led by New York partner Kelly Cataldo. The Project Development & Finance team included associates Tianyu Wang, Andrea Garcia, and Alexan Stulc. Advice was also provided on tax matters by Houston partner Jim Cole, with associate Jared Kawalsky; and on hedging matters by partner Yvette Valdez, with associate Mia Stefanou.
