Kirkland & Ellis announced today that leading capital markets lawyer Shagufa Hossain has joined the Firm’s Washington, D.C., office as a partner.
“Shagufa is a very talented lawyer with substantial experience advising clients on sophisticated capital markets matters,” said Jon A. Ballis, Chairman of Kirkland’s Executive Committee. “We are delighted to welcome her to Kirkland and our top-tier, growing capital markets team.”
Ms. Hossain represents private equity firms and their portfolio companies, investment banks, and public and private companies in complex debt and equity financings and other capital markets transactions. She has experience with leveraged buyouts and initial public offerings, as well as liability management, de-SPAC and cross-border transactions. She also advises public companies on corporate governance matters.
