Kirkland & Ellis advised private equity firm Forward Consumer Partners, a private equity firm thatĀ invests in branded consumer businesses, on the close of its debut fund, Forward Fund I (Fund I).
Launched in June 2023 and closed in December 2023, Fund I exceeded its target and closed at its $425 million hard cap, with support from a diverse base of highly regarded global investors. Forward held a single close for Fund I and did not use a placement agent.
The Kirkland team was led by investment funds partner Patrick Valenti and associates Collin Maenhout and Sam Lockwood-Powell, with support from investment funds partners Sam Scarcello and Jeff Kaplan; tax partner Chris Odell and associate Hayden Gunter; and investment funds regulatory partner Xiao-Hong Jing and associate Sara Kim.
