Kirkland & Ellis advised TA Associates, True Wind Capital and their portfolio company, e-Emphasys Technologies, Inc., a global enterprise software provider for the heavy equipment and industrial machinery industry, on e-Emphasys’ carveout acquisition of CDK Global Heavy Equipment, the heavy equipment business of Brookfield-backed CDK Global. The combined business, which will continue to operate as e-Emphasys Technologies, will drive the market forward with innovative, industry-focused software suites to address the end-to-end business optimization needs of equipment dealers and rental companies. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
