Kirkland & Ellis is representing Ryan Specialty on the purchase of London-based managing general underwriting (MGU) platform Castel Underwriting Agencies Limited from Arch Financial Holdings (UK) Limited and minority shareholders. Castel includes 13 unique MGUs with expertise in specific insurance product niches. The transaction is expected to close during the first half of 2024 subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
