Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Mauro Saccani has joined the firm’s Corporate & Finance practice group as a partner in its Banking and Loan Finance practice, based in Milan. He joins from Latham and Watkins, Milan.

Global Corporate & Finance Practice Group Leader James Doyle commented: “We are delighted to welcome Mauro to the firm. As an energetic and entrepreneurial lawyer, Mauro’s broad skillset complements the team perfectly whilst also strengthening our local leverage finance capabilities.”

Paul Mullen, who serves as Hogan Lovells’ Global Head of the Banking practice added “Direct lending is a relatively new product in Italy, and we see there to be huge potential for growth in this area in the coming years. Growing the team in Milan is therefore a priority for us. Mauro has some excellent relationships with credit funds and other key players in the market and we are excited to have him onboard.”

Mauro’s practice focuses on a broad range of banking, leveraged and acquisition finance, debt restructuring, debt capital markets, restructuring and corporate reorganization. Most of his transactions have a cross-border element.  His clients include large corporates, banks, private credit funds, private equity sponsors and their financial advisors.

Saccani said: “I am looking forward to working with the Italian corporate and finance partners and the international Banking practice. I believe collaboration and cooperation are integral to business success and this is a huge part of the Hogan Lovells culture. I am in no doubt that my clients and practice will have the opportunity to flourish here.”
