Global Law Firm Hogan Lovells advised SanoRice on the refinancing and expansion of its multi-jurisdictional group financing in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Poland. SanoRice is a proud Dutch family business and the world’s largest private label producer of rice, corn, and multi-grain cakes. Its success results from its continuous focus on developing novel products that meet the highest quality and food safety standards. SanoRice ships its products to the major A-brands, retailers, and distributors in more than 30 countries.

Wouter Jongen, head of the debt financing practice in Amsterdam, added: “We are delighted to have assisted our long-standing client SanoRice with this transaction, allowing them to effectively and efficiently realise their strategic growth plans. The deal is another example of Hogan Lovells’ knowledge and experience structuring and documenting (re-) finance transactions in the food sector.”

The Hogan Lovells team was led by Wouter Jongen (Partner, London & Amsterdam), with the support of senior associate Iléne Baltes (Amsterdam), partner Philip van Steenwinkel, senior associate Charles-Henri Bernard, associate Sean Jonckheere (Brussels), partner Carlo Massini, associates Giulia Geraci and Laura Leonelli (Milan), senior Counsel Piotr Zawislak, associates Julia Pycka and Jacek Mizgier, paralegal Kacper Wojtacha (Warsaw).
