Global law firm Hogan Lovells has assisted on the inaugural issuance under the new Emilia-Romagna Basket Bond programme, guaranteed by the Emilia-Romagna Region which aims at facilitating the access of SMEs to new sources of financing to support their sustainable development projects.
The programme, due to expire in April 2026, saw the first issuance by two companies of the regional territory, selected through the promotion and support of Confindustria Emilia-Romagna and Confindustria Romagna, two of the most relevant organisations at regional level representing industrial enterprises of the territory.
Hogan Lovells advised BPER Banca, as arranger, with a team led by Italian managing partner Patrizio Messina together with partner Alessandro Accrocca and composed by associate Edoardo Minnetti and trainees Noemi Biagini and Riccardo Del Torto; and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti and BPER, as investors, with a team led by partner Sabrina Setini and composed by senior associate Alessandro Azzolini and associate Gabriele Ippolito.
