Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) on the financing of the take-private acquisition of DWF Group plc by Inflexion Private Equity Partners.

DWF is a global law firm and alternative legal services provider, delivering integrated legal and related professional services to c. 5,000 firms, including large global blue-chip corporations. It has c. 4,000 employees in 30 offices across 18 countries.

The London-based Hogan Lovells team was led by Banking and Loan Finance partner Francis Booth, supported by senior associate Alistair Handy, associate Sarah Loughran and trainee Peter Mullan (all Banking and Loan Finance). Partners Tom Brassington and Antony Doolittle advised on the M&A aspects of the transaction, supported by associate Vinura Ladduwahetty. Counsel Chris Hyde advised on the tax aspects.

Commenting, partner Francis Booth said: ‘We were delighted to support ICG on this transaction, which is further evidence of the increasing trend of take-private acquisitions, particularly those being financed by private credit. Our work on this matter demonstrates our ability to bring together the strength of our private credit practice and the public M&A expertise of our corporate team to provide seamless support to our clients.’
