Hogan Lovells advises Abu Dhabi based Multiply Group on the acquisition of a majority stake in Spain’s second-largest fashion and apparel group Tendam

A cross-border and multi-practice team of Hogan Lovells lawyers, led by Alex Dolmans, Enrique de Pablos and Hugo Muñoz, has advised Multiply Group in the acquisition, from leading private equity firms CVC and PAI Partners, of a 67.9% stake in Tendam, Spain’s second largest specialist fashion retailer by market share, and owner of brands such as Cortefiel, Springfield, Women’secret and Pedro del Hierro.

Tendam operates an extensive network of more than 1,800 points of sale (directly operated stores, corners and franchises), as well as various branded online stores.

This transaction is a key milestone for the Multiply Group, as it represents its first investment in Europe and allows the creation of a new vertical in retail and consumer.

Other key Hogan Lovells members that have advised Multiply Group in this strategic transaction include Rocío Torres (Junior Associate) and Jana Puertas (Associate) from the M&A team, and Casto González-Páramo (Partner) and Raquel Fernández (Senior Associate) for antitrust and FDI matters, as well as other members of the Madrid, Luxembourg and Mexico offices.

Uría Menéndez, Latham & Watkins and Hermosilla Abogados advised the sellers and the company respectively.
