Norlake Hospitality is a real estate developer with hotels in the UK, Europe and the US. Archer Hotel Capital, which was established in December 2018, is a specialist European hotel investment vehicle jointly owned by affiliates of APG Asset Management and GIC.

The two Hoxton hotels, prominently located in the heart of London, will continue to be managed by global hospitality company Ennismore.

The cross-practice Herbert Smith Freehills team was led by corporate/M&A partner Siddhartha Shukla and real estate partner Jeremy Walden, alongside corporate/M&A partner Alan Montgomery.

The wider team included partners David Coulling, Casey Dalton, Matthew Bonye, Matthew Bool and Nick Wright, senior associates Faria Ali, Perminder Gainda, Chris Jones, Rajalakshmi Natarajan and Max Wu, and associates Holly Badi, Ananya Bajpai, Adam Dempsey-Doyle, Hannah Gould, Yusra Jafar, Shannon McPartland, Carla Obertelli, Alexander Sergunin and Catherine Simpson.

Siddhartha Shukla, lead partner, Herbert Smith Freehills, commented: “It has been a real pleasure to work with Norlake Hospitality on this important sale for them. Having advised Ennismore / Norlake on its acquisition of the original Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch in 2012, we feel privileged to have been part of this journey.”

The Norlake team was led by Tom Phillips, Darren McCulloch and Imran Bhatia.
