Freshfields advises Como 1907 and Sent Entertainment in the redevelopment project of the Sinigaglia Stadium in Como

Global law firm Freshfields has advised the football club Como 1907 and Sent Entertainment in relation to all legal, administrative, real estate and regulatory aspects of the project for the redevelopment of the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium in Como.

Como 1907, in collaboration with the Municipality of Como and the Populous architecture studio, has announced the presentation of the Feasibility Document of Design Alternatives (DOCFAP), which starts the administrative process for the approval of the redevelopment project of the lakeside sports facility. The timeline for the approval of the DOCFAP is expected by next May 2026.

The new sports facility will have a capacity of over 15 thousand seats, without however distorting the original architecture of the façade, which makes the Sinigaglia a small rationalist masterpiece. The intervention also includes a general urban redevelopment of the entire surrounding area and the construction of a new parking lot.

Freshfields has supported Como 1907 and Sent Entertainment with a multidisciplinary Media, entertainment and sports team, coordinated by partner Giancarlo d’Ambrosio (Global Transactions – Private Capital) with associate Ludovico Goglino, assisted by counsel Nico Moravia and senior associate Stefania Guarino for administrative and regulatory law aspects in the infrastructure sector and counsel Nicola Franceschina for real estate aspects.
