Theme: Intellectual Property: A Key Enabler for Strengthening India’s Business Landscape

Overview:
The World IP Day is celebrated every year on the date on which the Convention establishing World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was originally entered into force, in 1970. The objective of World IP Day is to raise awareness about Intellectual Property Rights, to celebrate creativity and contribution made by creators and innovators to the development of societies across the globe and to encourage respect for IP rights.

This year, FICCI in continuing its endeavor to raise awareness and respect for Intellectual Property in the country and to commemorate the World IP Day are organizing the following events:

• FICCI Conference on Intellectual Property:
  The theme for the conference is “Intellectual Property: A Key Enabler for Strengthening India’s Business Landscape” will be held on 25th April 2016 at FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi: India’s commendable policy vision has catapulted IP to the economic forefront of the country. FICCI through this conference celebrates the spirit of Intellectual Property in all its forms and encourages stakeholders to leverage IP to derive innovation and strengthen India’s business landscape.

• FICCI Annual Slogan & Poster Making Competition, 2016:
  This competition is an attempt to instill respect for IP among the youth of the country with special focus on Copyright on Online Platforms. We invite Students and the youth of the country to make most of this opportunity and participate in the competition (and win exciting cash prizes).

Registration Fee:
The participation in the conference is free and there is no delegate fee. However, registration is mandatory.
