A cross-practice team from Eversheds Sutherland has advised Boohoo plc (Boohoo) on its lease of a 1.1m sq ft site in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
The team advised the online fashion retailer as it takes on a new lease of the building comprising a recently constructed distribution centre and headquarter offices. Working exceptionally fast and efficiently, the team advised Boohoo on the long-lease which was negotiated, agreed and exchanged within a short timeframe. The site was formerly owned by the Arcadia Group.
Boohoo has recently acquired numerous clothing brands and fashion labels including Burton, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins and Wallis. These acquisitions urgently necessitated the need for a new distribution centre to support its rapidly growing business, which alongside existing sites in Burnley, Sheffield and Wellingborough, gives Boohoo a net sales capacity of more than ÂŁ4bn. The Eversheds Sutherland team had advised Boohoo on the Wellingborough lease earlier this year.
The team was led by Nancy Brown, Partner and Head of Eversheds Sutherland’s Manchester Real Estate Group; and Liz Whitfield, Principal Associate, Real Estate.
