Global law firm DLA Piper has relocated its Qatar office, taking up premises in Tornado Tower, an iconic skyscraper in the heart of Doha’s premier business district.
Located in the West Bay area, Tornado Tower will house DLA Piper on Level 26 of the 52-story commercial building, which has become a feature of Doha’s city skyline. Tornado Tower is the headquarters to many blue-chip companies and government offices with DLA Piper taking over the space previously occupied by the Legal Department of Qatar Foundation.
DLA Piper’s Office Managing Partner in Qatar, George Vlavianos, said: “COVID-19 has really challenged the role of the traditional office. We wanted to find a solution that would allow us to continue to embrace flexible working, whilst still providing our staff with a collaborative space to support the kind of interactions and learning opportunities that are difficult to replicate remotely. Our move to Tornado Tower achieves this, providing an efficient and technologically advanced space that will enable us to deliver the best possible service to our clients, both now and in the future. This is an exciting time for our team.”
In line with the Qatar Government’s current coronavirus restrictions, and following all local health authority advice and guidance, DLA Piper’s Doha team will move into their new office on 25 November.
