DLA Piper continues the expansion of its West Coast litigation practice with the addition of partners John “Jake” Loftus and Christine Ellice in Los Angeles.
Loftus and Ellice bring extensive experience to DLA Piper in financial services litigation matters involving equities, bonds, mutual funds and countless other investment products, as well as representing underwriters in securities class actions.
Loftus has worked in the financial services industry for the past 30 years as a litigator, senior management professional and general counsel. He focuses his practice on securities litigation and regulatory matters and has served as lead counsel in many state and federal court filings, class actions, arbitrations and SEC and FINRA actions and investigations.
Ellice focuses on complex commercial litigation, representing private equity funds, investment management companies, investment banks, securities brokerage firms and national banks in court and in arbitration. Ellice also represents individuals, corporations and growth-stage companies in partnership and LLC disputes, investor actions and general business litigation.
