DLA Piper has advised Katoen Natie, an international logistics service provider and port operator, on the acquisition of the warehousing activities of Nijhof-Wassink in Poland, a family-owned company specialising in logistics.
The acquisition includes a terrain of 25.5 hectares, 42 silos, 15,000 m² of outdoor storage space and five warehouses with a total space of 40,000 m², as well as a repacking hall, an office and a technical building. The facilities are located in Kutno, Poland, strategically positioned next to the PCC intermodal terminal and nearby the junction of two main roads in Poland connecting North-South and East-West.Katoen Natie will also take on 60 employees at the logistics centre and current contracts, except for the transport activities of Nijhof-Wassink and the five Volvo and Renault Trucks dealerships in Poland, which will remain active under the Nijhof-Wassink Group.
