DLA Piper has advised an Asian investor on the acquisition of a controlling stake in City Logistics Łódź VI (144,880 m2) from Panattoni and Kajima. The transaction was financed indirectly by PKO BP.
The transaction was supervised by Co-Managing Partner Jacek Giziński, Head of Real Estate Practice in Warsaw, and led by Milena Mędrzycka, with the support of Karolina Kordulska and Wojciech Sulimierski. From the financing angle, the transaction was led by counsel Katarzyna Wacławek, supported by Alicja Grzebyk.
The demand for logistics facilities and distribution centres across Europe is growing due to the rapid growth of e-commerce, further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is yet another major transaction completed on the Polish logistic market and advised by DLA Piper team this year. Moreover, this is also one of the first transactions started and entirely completed during the pandemic on a fully remote work basis by DLA Piper Poland.
