DLA Piper advised joint venture AC2 in a US$70 million financing for the strategic development of a 97,200 square meter industrial built-to-suit warehouse in the PLATAH industrial park in Hidalgo, Mexico.
AC2 was formed through a combination of Affinius Capital, a US-based institutional real estate development firm, and Artha Capital, one of Mexico’s most active real estate fund managers, developers, and operators. The US$70 million in financing was granted by Banco Sabadell, a Spanish multinational financial services company.
“The DLA Piper Mexico team, led by Roberto Rios, was valuable in closing the construction financing on our latest industrial development in Mexico with Banco Sabadell, and we look forward to working with DLA Piper on future project financing transactions for our Mexico business,” said Aaron Retersdorf, Vice-President of Capital Markets for Affinius Capital.
The DLA Piper team was led by partner Roberto Rios Artigas (Mexico City) and included associates Javier Pichardini, Susana Guizar, and Eduardo Gallástegui (all Mexico City).
