Dentons announced the addition of partners Andrew J. Callahan and Robert Scheininger to its Corporate practice in the New York office. The duo brings extensive experience in secondary market trading, distressed investing and special situations, catering to a diverse clientele including leading investment banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, private equity firms and other financial institutions.
Callahan and Scheininger regularly represent sophisticated Wall Street clients in connection with their trading of, and investment in, syndicated loans, bankruptcy claims, offshore and onshore liquidation claims, private debt and equity securities including unregistered securities and other distressed and illiquid instruments and assets handling all aspects of secondary market loan and bankruptcy claim transactions, from analyzing and reviewing loan and restructuring documentation to negotiating various agreements and navigating complex closing mechanics. Their work extends to transactions related to the acquisition or divestiture of claims against bankrupt or insolvent entities, both domestically and in international jurisdictions.
In addition, they advise clients on complex and diverse special situation investing transactions involving bespoke asset transfers, alternative financing arrangements, litigation finance transactions and structuring and negotiating loan and bankruptcy claim portfolio transfers.
