Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm, announced today that Jeremy Overmyer has rejoined the Firm as a partner in its Health Care practice in the Indianapolis office. Jeremy draws on his experience with both in-house and private practice to advise on matters important to healthcare clients today and to anticipate future needs.
Jeremy’s experience and focus with clients includes healthcare delivery operations, network and payor contracting, employer health agreements, telehealth and health IT agreements, and state and federal regulatory compliance. Jeremy has extensive experience as an integral advisor and counsel to a variety of healthcare organizations, including physician groups, accountable care organizations, independent provider associations, ambulatory surgery centers and physician-owned hospitals.
Jeremy has returned to Dentons after serving more than five years as general counsel for a large physician group and associate general counsel for the world’s largest healthcare organization. In those roles, he provided transactional, operational and regulatory support for a multi-specialty physician practice and risk bearing network aligned toward value-based care.
“We are thrilled to have Jeremy back at our firm. His experience working in-house for healthcare organizations is a tremendous asset for our clients because he intimately understands the industry’s challenges and opportunities,” said Meg Christensen, Managing Partner of the Indianapolis office.
In addition to broad healthcare experience, Jeremy counsels clients across industries regarding business matters, including essential areas like entity formation and strategic structuring, corporate governance, safeguarding shareholder rights, proactive risk management, navigating mergers and acquisitions, and developing effective growth and financing strategies.
“Adding top lateral talent like Jeremy allows us to continue to strengthen our team’s depth and breadth of knowledge and experience, and help our clients achieve their goals,” said Keith Bice, Managing Partner of Dentons Bingham Greenebaum. “We are happy to have Jeremy back on our team providing the business and legal solutions our clients seek.”
Jeremy is an active member of the Penrod Society, an Indianapolis nonprofit that supports local arts and culture in central Indiana, and an active member of the Hall Center for Health Care Mentor Board. He is a graduate of Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and Indiana University.
