Dentons Rattagan Arocena advised ZoomAgri on a loan agreement with IDB Lab, the innovation and venture capital laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), under the Social Entrepreneurship Program (PES).
This agreement aims to optimize the supply chain of agricultural raw materials in Latin America through the consolidation of ZoomAgri, an Argentine platform that has designed and developed technology based on artificial intelligence that allows the recognition of varieties and quality of agricultural raw materials in a fast way, facilitating industrial, commercial and storage decision-making in real time to make these operations more efficient.
The loan will be used for the expansion of ZoomAgri’s solutions in the Argentine Republic. Specifically, it will be used to finance working capital, capex, the development of a mobile application for agricultural producers, and research and development of new products.
This is a major step towards transforming agriculture through innovation and digitalization, driving advances that empower the agricultural sector and contribute to sustainable growth in the country and the region.
Dentons Rattagan Arocena’s team was led by partner Ricardo Balestra, partner Nicolas Arida, counsel David Macchi, and senior associate Josefina Viola.
