Dentons Hong Kong advised Lending Ark Capital on its first-ever cross-border structured finance investment into the Philippines

Dentons Hong Kong advised Lending Ark Capital (the Asia private structured credit arm of CITIC Securities CLSA Capital Partners (HK) Limited) as sole investor on its first-ever cross-border structured finance investment into the Philippines for purchase under a US$75 million facility of asset-backed bonds issued by a Philippine affiliate of Atome Financial (the digital finance unit of Advance Intelligence Group) originating a revolving pool of Peso-denominated receivables.

Jeff Chen, Partner at Dentons Hong Kong led the deal, assisted by Pearl Cabali, Partner at PJS Law advising on novel issues of Philippine law under the country’s new legal security system, and Lee Min Lau, Partner at Dentons Rodyk advising on Singaporean law in relation to the Singaporean guarantor of the issuer.
