Dentons Canada has enhanced its national Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation group with the addition of partner Blair L. Botsford in Toronto.
Blair’s practice focuses on will and estate planning, trusts, powers of attorney and advance care planning, guardianship, disability planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, charitable giving, and related taxation.
Her clients include professionals, business owners and high net worth individuals, many of whom have multi-jurisdictional planning needs.
Tony Schweitzer, head of Dentons’ Toronto Tax group, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Blair L. Botsford, who brings exceptional experience to complement our tax and estate litigation capabilities in Ontario. Through the growth of our wider team, which follows the joining of partner Rhonda Johnson in our Edmonton office earlier this month, we look forward to providing an enhanced service to our clients, including high net worth individuals and financial institutions, who need comprehensive tax, trusts, wills and estates advice and counsel both across Canada and internationally.”
Blair McCreadie, managing partner of Dentons’ Toronto office, said, “Through the addition of our second partner in as many months, Dentons Toronto continues on its path of exceptional growth in response to the needs of our clients. Our aim is to provide them with a full suite of legal advice no matter where they do business as the leading global law firm in Toronto. Blair L. Botsford’s well-respected profile in the market will benefit our clients as we help to grow, protect, operate and finance their interests.”
Blair L. Botsford is the fifth partner to join Dentons Canada in recent months. She follows the addition of corporate and securities partner Michael DeCosimo in Toronto, litigator Emil Vidrascu in Montréal, Calgary-based real estate partner Bonnie Anderson, and Rhonda Johnson, who recently rejoined the firm’s Trusts, Estates and Wealth Preservation practice in Edmonton.
