Dentons has further bolstered its UK, Ireland and Middle East projects team with the arrival of John Inglis in London.
Recognised in The Legal 500’s ‘Hall of Fame’ and previously a partner at Shearman & Sterling, John brings with him over 30 years’ experience in energy and infrastructure project development and finance in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.
Nick Hayday, Partner and head of Dentons’ Banking and Finance team in the UK, said: “John is a very well known, senior finance lawyer with a very strong pedigree. His experience and expertise in the development and financing of energy and natural resource projects, including power generation, metals, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, and upstream oil and gas projects will add real value to our clients as we continue to grow our international projects practice.”
UKIME CEO Paul Jarvis commented: “We are thrilled that someone of John’s calibre has joined our team, to work alongside colleagues across the globe. He joins us at an exciting time as we are accelerating the growth of our stellar Banking & Finance team, in line with our five-year strategy.”
John added, “I am extremely excited to join Dentons. Dentons has a top tier global energy platform which will allow me to continue to develop my practice, while also enabling me to enhance Dentons’ leading project finance offering. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate in this regard with my market leading colleagues, a number of whom I have had the pleasure to work with in the past.”
John’s recruitment follows the recent arrival of leveraged finance partner Richard Sharples, as well as Debt Capital Markets Partner Neil Dixon.
