Melbourne, Australia—Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Park as a Partner in its leading Intellectual Property and Technology practice in Melbourne, starting 15 January 2024.

Michael has over 25 years of experience in Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) law at top tier law firms, where he specialised in privacy, cyber security, telecommunications and technology transactions. He has represented APRA-regulated entities, clients in the mining and resources, energy, transport, and healthcare sectors, as well as government agencies. Michael has worked with numerous global technology vendors.

As a Partner at Dentons, Michael will also advise on technology procurement and business process outsourcing, providing advisory services for privacy, data governance and AI as well as telecommunications infrastructure and regulatory projects.

Doug Stipanicev, Dentons’ Australia Region Chair and Australasia CEO, expressed his confidence in Michael’s capabilities, stating, “Michael’s extensive knowledge will greatly benefit our clients. The need for privacy, cyber security, data governance, and digital transformation expertise is critical to businesses of all sizes and sectors. This is not just a strategic hire, it’s a necessity to support our clients’ needs and reinforce our commitment to excellence in legal services.”

Michael Park, the newly appointed Partner, shared his excitement about joining Dentons, saying, “I’m thrilled to be joining Dentons, where I can add value and work collaboratively with partners across the firm to benefit clients. I’m looking forward to integrating quickly into the fabric and culture of the world’s largest global law firm.”

Michael is the sixth lateral partner to join Dentons this year, continuing the Firm’s growth trajectory and building on its bench strength in its Intellectual Property and Technology practice in Australia.
