Dentons Canada boosts corporate and venture technology offering with new partner Kristal Allen

Dentons announces the addition of Kristal Allen as a partner in the Firm’s Corporate and Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies groups in Calgary. An experienced lawyer with a wealth of practical and industry knowledge, Kristal practices corporate and commercial law and is a trusted advisor to clients in the technology, energy and agribusiness sectors.

“I am very pleased to join Dentons,” said Kristal Allen. “Innovation and technology are at the core of my practice, and I’m excited to join a team with unparalleled resources for startups and emerging growth companies. I look forward to leveraging the Firm’s unique and purpose-driven platform to help drive the growth and success of my clients in the ever-evolving tech industry.”

“We are delighted to welcome Kristal to the Firm,” said George Tai, Managing Partner of the Calgary office. “She has a stellar reputation in both the corporate and agribusiness sectors that, when paired with her extensive experience with information and intellectual property assets and new technologies, complement our remarkable team with exceptional reputations in Alberta, across Canada and around the world.”

Dentons’ Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies group has earned a reputation as one of Canada’s top legal advisors to growth-oriented technology companies – from start-up to exit, whether by IPO or mergers and acquisitions – as well as to venture capital investors. The Firm’s nationally-recognized team of agribusiness experts is also renowned for meeting the challenges of an increasingly complex environment. The group has worked with some of the biggest players in the industry on matters that have defined—and continue to determine—the future of agtech.

“An accomplished lawyer with a demonstrated business acumen, in-house experience and a robust network in the technology and innovation sectors, Kristal is a fantastic addition to our national team, ” said David Little, lead of the Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies Group. “She has an exceptional track record of offering first-class legal and business advice to domestic and international companies, and she will add tremendous value to the Firm’s offering to clients.”
