Dentons Canada advised the Special Committee of the Board of Directors of Inter Pipeline Ltd. in its response to an unsolicited takeover bid by Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. The successful auction process concluded with Brookfield increasing its offer to secure the Board’s support for the acquisition at a valuation of approximately CA$15 billion on an enterprise-value basis.  The Dentons Canada team was comprised of corporate and tax lawyers Bill JenkinsJessica MyersBennett Wong and Brian Kearl.

The Dentons Canada team, expanded to include Gordon Tarnowsky, Q.C. and Rachel Howie, also advised Inter Pipeline as co-counsel in its successful appearance before the Alberta Securities Commission.
